All-Pilkington Lilies Final crowns a Memorable Day for the Girls
Summer Cup Final has an All Pilks Line-Up after BOTH teams win through
A small piece of history was written during this weekend’s Macclesfield FC Summer Cup Tournament when our U15’s Girls entered two teams into the seven-a-side competition.
Pilkington Lilies ‘A’ and Pilkington Lilies ‘B’ (as labelled only for this event) successfully made their way through the tournament to meet head-to-head in the final following penalty-shoot-out wins in the semis against Newcastle Town and Inter Cheadle, respectively.
In a similarly close contest, the eventual winners were Pilkington Lilies ‘B’, who ran out 1-0 victors over their own team mates however, that didn’t stop the whole squad joining in the celebrations as they all took pride of place during the Trophy Presentation afterward. 🏆
