Pilkington FC Juniors is a volunteer-led Grassroots Football Club in the Dentons Green area of St Helens, Merseyside, based at Ruskin Drive Sports Village.

Sharing it’s County FA affiliation with the main Pilkington FC Senior Mens and Ladies Teams, the long-term ambition of the Junior section is to provide a pathway for locally-based talent to have the opportunity to play their football in a high quality environment and remain within the St Helens area.

In the immediate term, our aim is to ensure the young people of St Helens have the correct environment to progress to a very good standard of grassroots football and beyond, in a secure,  family-friendly setting, using the fantastic facilities at our Ruskin Drive base.

Football activities at Pilkington FC Juniors starts at the ‘Under 7s’ age group and culminates in the opportunity to be considered for Youth Football (Under 18s).   Open Age football currently starts with our Under 23 squad

For younger children, we have a long-running association with Development Coach, Nick Robinson, who runs ‘Nick Robinson Football Development’, which is a wholly independent organisation to Pilkington FC.    Any such enquiries should be directed to Nick on 07738 959903.

Since it was reformed in 2017, the Junior Section has grown from strength to strength, expanding from five founding teams to over twenty teams representing our Boys sections and a further four girls teams who are the founding platform of the Pilkington FC Lilies section of the Club.  To see our current team line ups and age groups, click here.

The Junior Club’s main league association are with Warrington Junior/Girls Football Leagues, however, we have teams representing the Club in the Belle Vale & District, Hightown Junior Football League, Burscough Junior Football League and Liverpool Girls Junior Football League.

Unfortunately, places in our teams are usually limited due to the popularity of the Club’s Environment and Facilities.   Therefore, whilst we welcome any new enquiries from parents and players alike, we must regrettably advise that many such enquiries may lead to disappointment.
